City of Westbrook Mayor, Colleen Hilton, Library Board of Regents President, Judith Reidman and Director of Library Services, Karen Valley presided over festivities at the library today. The library staff, Mayor, City Councilors, Library Board members, Friends of Walker Library members and Westbrook residents were all in attendance to celebrate the completion and dedication of the Historic Renovation of Walker Memorial Library. Saturday, April 14th also marked the end of National Library Week and the kickoff of the Walker Memorial Library fundraising campaign. Funds raised will support the interior restoration of the 1894 portion of the library.
